One couple in Siargao took it to the next level by receiving their item in the middle of their wedding reception.

Items that were distributed includes 3kgs of rice, canned goods, instant noodles, coffee and other basic essentials that can suffice the needs of the employees and their family.

During these trying times, the company believes that it is important to stand together and help one another. J&T Express Sets Up Own Community Pantry

Logistics firm J&T Express has opened its own community pantry to help Filipinos in need amid the pandemic.



“Employees of J&T Express donated food items to share, proving that the company is made up of team members who have a heart for the community,” the company said in a statement.

The community pantry was set up at J&T Express' Muntinlupa branch at 37 National Highway in Barangay Putatan.

In a Facebook post, J&T Express Philippines vice president Zoe Chi said more community pantries will be opened in different locations soon.

“I was there since the community pantry opened until (the day) ended. As today is the first time, we really don't know how much food will be collected and if we will make it successful or not. Almost a hundred people got the food,” she said.

“I decided that we will continuously do J&T pantry in different areas. We will (weather) the pandemic. We are all in this together,” Chi added.

Logistics and courier services firm J&T Express has joined the trend in setting up community pantries to help supply food and other necessities to people in need amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement on Thursday, J&T Express said it opened its first community pantry at their Muntinlupa branch in 37 National Highway, Brgy. Putatan.


Employees of J&T Express donated food items to share, proving that the company is made up of team members who have a heart for the community,” the company said.


The J&T Express said its community pantry is open to accepting donations from other interested groups or individuals.


The company said it will announce the next locations of its community pantry in the coming days.

A Partnership to Support Online SME Industry and Aide the Country in its Economic Bounce Back
